Not sure but Jenny Gilruth might be popular choice. What do you think?

Can’t quite see them as FM and DFM. If Humza is elected I feel he already has someone in mind. Kate on the other hand is more open. We’ll have to see. Still a little worried.

An academic did a survey of BBC and STV Scottish news around the 2014 independence referendum. He found the reporting of the BBC to be 3 to 1 and the STV 2 to 1 biased against independence. The BBC charter states, one of its rolls is to support the cohesion of the UK.

So nothing has changed. I think the Scottish electorate, are even more now aware of the unionist media biased.

I apologise if my comment is not as articulate as some but I don’t think religion should play any part in politics. Unfortunately some use it as ammunition. Too many in politics play at being religious when it suits them. Kate Forbes has stated that if elected she will represent all Scots. I believe her. I’m an atheist. Have children out of wedlock. I certainly don’t think she called my children bastards. That’s a bit extreme. She stood in for Derek McKay at a moments notice and has done very well. I assume Humza has Nicola’s backing although she hasn’t stated it. I don’t feel he has the strength or intelligence to debate with Westminster. Having spent last 9 years waiting for another referendum, I don’t feel he is the man to deliver it. He talks a lot but I’m not convinced. Seriously worried that Independence will be left on back burner again. Kate is a Finance person. Her plan for business growth and bringing employment sounds pretty good. With or without Independence we need someone who will bring Scotland out of poverty. Fight for tax raising powers. Hopefully our next First Minister can do that.

I’m 70 and I’m in a same sex marriage. I’m also a Christian. I’ve voted solidly for the SNP for many years. There is no way I would vote for it with Forbes leading it. I don’t think rolling back same sex marriage would be her first priority, but I don’t trust her to foster policies that are socially liberal. And I’m not forgetting she got very very close to calling my grandson a bastard. There are two ways of being a religious person in a secular society. One way is to vote for, and promote, what your faith considers moral, and that is what Forbes has made very clear is her way. The other way is to vote for and promote what you think would be best for society and to offer the greatest freedom to all its members, assuming their best doesn’t cause direct harm to others. And Forbes is absolutely clear that that is a path she does not take.
